Mars
Mars is a red planet.Mars was the Roman god of war and agriculture. It may not seem like these two things go together, but they do. Mars protected those who fought for their communities, and stayed home to raise crops for food. In Greek, Mars was known as Ares.Mars has two moons, their names are Deimos and Phobos.Mars experiences violent dust storms which continually change its surface.Mars has a very thin atmosphere made mostly of carbon dioxide. It is not thick enough to trap the sun's heat like Venus, so the planet is very cold. Temperatures range from -120 Degrees Celsius on winter nights to 25 Degrees Celsius in the summer.
Pluto
Pluto is a sort of light brown color. It is so small that we now call it a dwarf planet.Pluto is said to be dark cause it so far away from the sun.Like every planet in our solar system, we have named Pluto after a mythological god. In the religion of the ancient Romans, Pluto was a god who ruled the underworld. Pluto’s moon, Charon, is named after the mythological person who brought people to the underworld. In addition, Pluto is so cold that we would need amazingly powerful heaters, not to mention a good supply of warm blankets, if we ever hoped to live there. Even Pluto’s warmest days are almost three times colder than the coldest days on Earth!
Neptune
Neptune is a very light blue planet. It is named after the Roman god of the water. It has 13 moons that we know of.Neptune is the eighth planet from the sun located between Uranus and Pluto.Neptune completes an orbit around the Sun just once every 165 Earth years, but the planet rotates approximately every 16
hours. It is a stormy blue planet with a molten rock core.It has four rings. The surface is gaseous, cloudy.
